Downtown Waukegan is home to many successful businesses, and is the county seat of Lake County.  Hundreds of professionals and visitors work and spend money here every day of the week.  City-wide residents, commuters and visitors are supportive of new downtown businesses that cater to their professional and personal needs.

Already, the restored Genesee Theatre has increased traffic downtown and new restaurants are catering to more and more diners.  And with such recent developments as Marquette Place, new residents will soon be living within this revitalized commercial district.
